Supercar Excellence Unleashed: The 2025 Corvette Z06

Thundering V8

The Corvette Z06 houses a fire-breathing 5.5L LT6 V8 that redlines at 8,600 RPM. It cranks out 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, incorporating several technologies such as dual throttle bodies, triple tuning valves, a flat-plane crank, and a block/lube system with six scavenge stages. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers a white-knuckle shifting experience while maintaining the smoothness of an automatic.

Putting the pedal to the metal rockets the Z06 from 0 to 60 mph in a lightning-fast 2.6 seconds, beating several European competitors. On a straight stretch of road, the supercar crosses the quarter-mile mark in 10.6 seconds at 131 mph.

Outstanding Maneuverability

The supercar’s performance extends beyond mere straight-line speed; its balanced chassis and advanced suspension system allow it to turn like an extension of the driver’s body. The LT6 V8 sits in a mid-engine layout, distributing weight equally over all four wheels. This pairs with the standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) drivetrain for responsive steering and reliable traction when accelerating out of corners.

Standard Z06 performance suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control reads the road every millisecond and adjusts damping in just 10 milliseconds. The setup’s magnetorheological suspension fluid becomes rigid in an instant when cornering aggressively, reducing body roll and keeping the wheels planted on the ground. You can customize its performance to match your driving needs using the included Driver Mode Selector.

Immense Downforce

The Corvette Z06 relies on its immense downforce to maintain traction at high speeds. The low profile and sculpted body direct airflow to the rear spoiler, which pushes the tires down onto the ground. This is further enhanced by the car’s 79.71-inch-wide body, 3.6 inches wider than the standard C8 Corvette, as well as its front splitter, front gurneys, and underbody aero elements. You can also opt for a large carbon-fiber high-wing rear spoiler with the available Z07 Performance Package.

Fighter Jet-Inspired Cockpit

There are no rear seats aboard the Z06. Instead, it accommodates the driver and a single passenger in a pair of 8-way power adjustable GT1 bucket seats. Similar to fighter jets, the cockpit is designed around the driver with all essential controls mounted on the flat-top, flat-bottom steering wheel. Drivers will find two large HD screens and a standard head-up display facing them with important vehicle information.
