Durable steel plates shield the Hummer EV SUV’s drive unit and battery pack from impact damage when crawling over boulders or fallen tree trunks. The available Extreme Off-Road package makes the SUV’s underbody virtually impenetrable with extra armor and skid plates. Rocker protectors with assist steps are also included in the package for additional rigidity and to make entry and exit more convenient.

Ground Clearance

The standard Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and 22-inch wheels wrapped in exclusive 35-inch Outer Diameter Goodyear tires offer an incredible 12 inches of ground clearance. Additionally, the SUV features a 44.3-degree approach angle, 41.8-degree departure angle, and 27.1-degree breakover angle. This means that the Hummer EV SUV can scale vertical obstacles up to 18 inches high and cross streams of water 28 inches deep.

Off-Roading Technology

When you are in a tough spot, there is plenty of technology aboard the Hummer EV SUV that you can rely on. For instance, activating CrabWalk allows you to maneuver around large obstacles by turning the SUV’s rear wheels parallel to the front ones and moving diagonally. Extract Mode, on the other hand, adds an extra 6 inches of ground clearance using the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension’s adjustable ride height function, allowing you to clear obstacles and ford water 32 inches deep.
